Learn More About SherpaShare's Mileage Tracking

One of the most exciting - and money saving - features in the mileage tracking in the SherpaShare app. Since our mission is to help independent workers take home more money, we want every driver to be able to easily track work mileage.

• Want to ensure mileage tracking is on? On the mileage tab, if you don't see any trips, you'll see a big button with a green dot indicating you're ready to hit the road. (If it's red, it's not on, and you should check the Settings tab to turn it on)
  
  
• After you take a driving trip, it will be logged in the app. In most cases you'll also get a push notification letting you know that mileage was logged.
  
  
• There are 3 main actions you can take once a trip has been logged:
  
  • Categorize It - at the bottom of the trip map, this allows you to mark you trip as work or personal
  • Add a Note - above the trip map, allows you to add a custom note or tag
  • Review Past Mileage - on the top left of screen, allows you to sort hours, miles, fuel cost, and potential deduction by day, week, or month
  
  

I don't see my trips yet. If you just finished driving, it can take from a few minutes to a few hours for the trip to log.

I still don't see trips. Check the Settings to make sure mileage tracking is ON. You may need to check your iOS Permissions to ensure you've given "SherpaShare" permission to always track. That's the only way we can detect driving trips without you doing anything.

The mileage is off. It's rare for mileage to be off, but it can occasionally happen because of GPS interference (tall buildings don't make it easy). Each version of our app improves this, so be sure you have the latest version of the app.

I'm concerned about battery usage. The app's technology should have a minimal affect on the battery, so battery drain should not be a problem. However, if you are using multiple tracking apps at the same time on a shift, it's definitely a good idea to have a car charger.
